Call for Papers

The Journal of Newviews in Engineering and Technology is a quarterly Journal of the Faculty of Engineering, Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. JNET publishes original research papers and technical reviews. The journal publishes original peer-viewed scientific researched papers in all areas of Engineering and Technology. Article must have new findings which bridge gap between research, development, manufacturing and industrial applications. Articles of interdisciplinary nature at the interface of Science and Engineering will also be published. Basic research and experimental papers are welcome as either Regular Articles Short Communications or Reviews. It has an international acclaimed editorial board with extensive academic qualifications, ensuring that journal maintains high standards with a broad international coverage. Our Editorial Board and international subject editors can be viewed on our website.

Tables should be explanatory enough to be understandable without any text reference. Single spacing should be maintained throughout the Table, including Table headings and footnotes. Table headings should be placed above the Table. Footnotes should be placed below the Table with superscript lowercase letters. Each Figure should have a caption. The caption should be concise and typed separately, not on the Figure area. Figures should be selfexplanatory. Information presented in the Figure should not be repeated in the Table. All symbols and abbreviations used in the illustrations should be defined clearly. Figure legends should be given below the Figures

Nomenclature & Units

All units must be SI units. If other units are mentioned, please give their equivalent in SI Symbols. A list of symbols used in the main text should be included after the main text as nomenclature. Greek letters superscript and subscript should be carefully typed.

Equations

All equations referred to in the text should be numbered serially at the right-hand side in parentheses. Equation editor should be used.

Submission of Manuscript

Manuscripts should be written in English (single column) one and half spaced on A4 paper on one side of the paper with 2.54 cm top and bottom margins. The paper should not exceed ten (10) pages including Figures and Tables. Time new Romans font 12 should be used in the text. Electronic copy of manuscript should be submitted via email ( engineering.conference@ust.edu.ng or online ) with a covering note to the Editor-in-Chief.

Processing and Publication Charges

There is no charge for submitting paper for review, but author of each accepted paper is required to pay the publication charge (Maximum of 10 pages) below:
For Nigerian authors – N35, 000 Only (For one entire research Proceedings )
For authors from other countries authors – USD $250 (For one entire conference Proceedings )
Additional pages will attract N3,000 or $5 per page.

Editorial Policy

Authors should prepare their manuscripts according to the instructions given in the authors’ guidelines. Manuscripts which do not conform to the format and style of the Journal may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected. The Journal reserves the right to make any further formal changes and language corrections necessary in a manuscript accepted for publication so that it conforms to the formatting requirements of the Journal.

Plagiarism

Authors must not use the words, figures, or ideas of other authors without attribution. All sources must be cited at the point they are used, and reuse of wording must be limited and be attributed or quoted in the text. Manuscripts that are found to have been plagiarized from a manuscript by other authors, whether unpublished or published will be rejected. If the articles had been published it will be retracted.
