Manuscript Preparation

The manuscript should consist of a Title page, Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgement (if any), References, Nomenclature.

Title Page

The first page should include a title, the name(s) of the author(s), their affiliations, email address and phone numbers. The title should not exceed eighteen words and apt to give exact description of the work.

Abstract

There must be an abstract not exceeding 250 words in font 10, indicating the scope of work and major findings and conclusions of the research. Five key words under the abstract are to be provided.

Introduction

Provide a factual background, clearly defined problem, proposed solution, and the scope and justification of the work done.

Literature/Theoretical Underpinning

Provide a brief conceptual, theoretical and or empirical review of the work done.

Materials and Methods

This section will include materials or equipment description used in the work, experimental design, experimental methods, Model developments. Give adequate information to allow the experiment to be reproduced. Already published methods should be mentioned with references. Significant modifications of published methods and new methods should be described in detail.

Results and Discussion

Results should be clearly described in a concise manner. Results for different parameters should be described under subheadings or in separate paragraph. The discussion should be detailed interpretation of data. This should interpret the significance of the findings of the work. Citations should be given in support of the findings. It should clearly state the contributions and relevance of the findings. All Tables & Figures should be placed inside the text.

Conclusion

This should briefly state the major findings of the study.

Acknowledgement

The acknowledgments of people who provided assistance in manuscript preparation, funding for research, etc. should be listed in this section. All sources of funding should be declared as an acknowledgement. Authors should declare the role of funding agency.

References

Authors are responsible for the accuracy of their references, which should be APA. Style and carefully checked for completeness, accuracy and consistency. References must include all author names and initials. Titles of articles and full journal names, volume and pages should be given. References cited within the text should contain the first named author’s surname (followed by et al., for co-authored papers) and year of publication. Example, (Dick, 2022) for sole authored papers, (Dick & Nwosu, 2022) for co-authored papers and (Dick et al., 2022) for more-authored papers. The reference should be listed in alphabetical order at the end of the paper.

Tables & Figures

Tables & Figures should be placed inside the text. It is suggested that the discussion about the tables and figures should appear in the text before the appearance of the respective tables and figures. Tables & Figures should have brief titles, above and below respectively. They are to be numbered serially.
